Final Round of “UNETI Student Startup Creative Ideas for the 2024–2025 Academic Year” – A Journey of Knowledge Creation and Dream Realization - UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS

On the morning of May 23, 2025, at the HA10 Grand Hall, Campus 218 Lĩnh Nam, the University of Economics – Technology for Industries solemnly organized the Final Round of the competition “UNETI Student Startup Creative Ideas for the 2024–2025 Academic Year”.
This event marked the final stage of the journey of transforming knowledge into market value and was also the largest playground of scientific research, technology, and startup innovation for UNETI students in the academic year.

Regarding the Jury Board, the members included:
Mr. Trần Huy Quang – Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Nam Định Province, Head of the Jury;
Mr. Phạm Thanh Hưng – Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cen Group, Shark Tank Vietnam investor, Jury Member;
Mr. An Ngọc Thao – Deputy Secretary General of the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA), Jury Member;
Mr. Lý Đình Quân – Vice Chairman of the Advisory Council for National Innovation and Startup, General Director of the Sông Hàn Startup Incubation Center, Jury Member;
Mr. Trần Tuấn Linh – Executive Director of the INIS Creative Startup Institute, Nguyễn Trãi University, startup coaching and brand-building expert, Jury Member;
Mr. Vũ Việt Anh – Chief Executive Officer of the Success Academy, Head of the Marketing Tech Village of Tech-Fest Vietnam, Jury Member;
Mr. Đặng Văn Nam – Director of the Vietnam–ASEAN Investment and Startup Support Center, Founding Chairman of the Ismart Green Global Smart Ecosystem, Jury Member.

Ms. Vũ Thị Nguyệt – Director of Royal Chemicals Company;
Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Tâm – General Director of Nikkon Vietnam Paint Company;
Mr. Đặng Xuân Giang – General Director of Giang Advertising Company;

Representing the University leadership attending online via the Meeting application were:
Dr. Trần Hoàng Long – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the University;
M.A. Đoàn Văn Đại – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Head of the Office of Inspection, Legal Affairs and Internal Control.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phạm Thị Thu Hoài – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairwoman of the University Council;
Dr. Nguyễn Ngọc Khương – Vice Rector of the University;
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hữu Quang – Standing Member of the Party Committee, Vice Rector, together with heads and deputy heads of university units, lecturers, students from various faculties, scientific research clubs, and student startup innovation clubs of the University. In particular, the event was honored by the presence of supervising lecturers and students from the 14 competing teams.

This year’s competition attracted the enthusiastic participation of 149 teams, presenting numerous unique, creative ideas full of aspiration. Through the selection rounds, the Jury Board selected 42 outstanding projects to advance to the Project Development round, from which 14 most exemplary teams excellently earned their places in the Final Round. Each idea not only reflected intelligence and capability but also demonstrated a strong aspiration to contribute and a desire to create positive value for the community and society. With a new and highly competitive format, the finalist teams had the opportunity to fully showcase their creativity, proactiveness, confidence, and even their wit while pitching, defending their ideas before the Jury Board, and debating with other teams. This was an opportunity for students not only to sharpen presentation and critical thinking skills but also to learn, expand networks with experts and investors, and gradually realize their startup dreams.

The Final Round of the “UNETI Student Startup Creative Ideas for the 2024–2025 Academic Year” not only identified potential projects but also opened broader horizons of knowledge for students. Throughout the competition, teams were “tested by fire” through a series of training workshops, thereby cultivating innovative thinking, planning skills, and critical analysis—core qualities of a digital-era entrepreneur. This served as a foundation affirming the limitless creative capacity of UNETI students in identifying social issues and proposing practical solutions. The University expects that, with an expanding network of business mentors and incubation funds, the award-winning projects will continue to be refined, successfully attract investment, and bring sustainable value to the community.

In particular, the most outstanding ideas in the Final Round will be supported by the University through incubation programs, connections with enterprises, and representation of UNETI in startup competitions at ministerial, sectoral, and national levels. The success of the competition is not only a source of pride for the participating teams but also clear evidence of the University’s serious investment in accompanying students on their journey of creativity and career building.

In his opening remarks at the Final Round, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hữu Quang – Vice Rector of the University highly appreciated the close support from faculty leaders, functional departments, and the dedication of lecturers who have continuously inspired students’ passion for entrepreneurship. He emphasized that this year’s competition was not only a launching pad for breakthrough business ideas but also an opportunity for teams to experience the process of developing strategic thinking skills, teamwork, market analysis, and financial planning, thereby transforming academic knowledge into practical value. At the same time, the competition created valuable opportunities for students to connect and network with lecturers, experts, and peers both within and beyond UNETI, forming a multidisciplinary support network. Through his speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hữu Quang – Vice Rector of the University extended his best wishes and encouragement to the teams, urging them to confidently present their ideas before the Jury Board and investors to achieve the best possible results.
