President Ho Chi Minh identified revolutionary ethics as the core content of the Vietnamese revolution. Ho Chi Minh viewed ethics as the foundation, the root, and the strength of revolutionary cadres. Entering the period of renewal, the Communist Party of Vietnam has continued to supplement and perfect new standards of revolutionary ethics to meet the requirements of industrialization, modernization, and international integration. These revolutionary ethical standards of the Party hold great significance for the teaching of political theory subjects in the new period. This is both a continuation of Ho Chi Minh’s thought on ethics; a new standard for cadres and lecturers in general, and lecturers of political theory subjects in particular; and a basis for educating students in emotions and ethics. This shows that it is necessary to seriously grasp and implement the Party’s guidelines on ethical standards for cadres and party members in the new period, and to apply them in the teaching and learning process for students at universities in general, and at the University of Economics – Technology for Industries in particular.
Stemming from the requirement to improve ethical learning outcomes, revolutionary ethics, and to nurture generations of students with both virtue and talent, the Department of Ho Chi Minh Thought and History of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Faculty of Political Theory and Law, University of Economics – Technology for Industries, organized the scientific workshop “The viewpoints of the Communist Party of Vietnam on standards of revolutionary ethics for cadres and party members in the new period. The significance of this issue in teaching Political Theory subjects at the University of Economics – Technology for Industries” on the morning of May 23, 2025.
At the workshop, invited delegates, lecturers of the Faculty of Political Theory and Law, and students listened to presentations and engaged in discussions on issues related to revolutionary ethical standards of cadres and party members; the creative application of Ho Chi Minh’s thought on revolutionary ethics in the current period; and the enhancement of education on revolutionary ethics, patriotic ideals, and progressive values for students and learners in educational institutions.
At the conclusion of the workshop, on behalf of the organizing unit, the invited guests, and all lecturers and students, Ms. Ngô Thị Mai, M.A., Senior Lecturer, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Political Theory, summarized the achievements of the workshop and emphasized the importance of Marxism–Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought subjects in fostering fine revolutionary ethical qualities for the country’s high-quality human resources.
